My name is Dr Robin Barraclough. I’m a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practice and I practice a mixture of general practice and rural hospital medicine here in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

I enjoy being a generalist and being able to put my hand most anything that walks, or gets carried through the door.

Although less active than I used to be, I still think of myself as a climber and mountaineer, having travelled widely with the sport over the last 30 years.

The New Zealand Society For Mountain Medicine is a new space where those who are passionate about healthcare in the outdoors can flourish and collaborate, and I’m truly excited to be a part of this project.
